Please, Amazon...stop using DHL! I ordered a part from Germany. According to the DHL tracking system, it arrived in my state (after clearing customs in Cincinnati) on Monday. Then nothing. Nothing....

Please, Amazon...stop using DHL! I ordered a part from Germany. According to the DHL tracking system, it arrived in my state (after clearing customs in Cincinnati) on Monday. Then nothing. Nothing. Nothing. When I finally spoke with DHL, they had no clue where the package actually is. Is it in Ohio? Maybe. Is it in Georgia? Possibly! They even asked me to send a photo of the contents so they could check their (no kidding) "lost and found." Good thing I hadn't ordered anything embarrassing! Bottom line: if it absolutely, positively has to get there on time...use anyone else other than DHL. Use a drunk carrier pigeon if you must, just do NOT use DHL.

Jerusalem, Israel -- Surely, DHL think they're in the storage business, not in delivery.
A small package has been on its way from India for more than a month. First it was stuck in Delhi for about two weeks. Now it has been stuck in Germany for about two weeks. Writing to them is about as effective as standing on the beach and shouting into the wind. They send some automated boilerplate "We're sorry blablabla..." The merchant wrote to them 10 days ago and they said that package would be delivered in 2-3 business days. Not only has it not been delivered, but it hasn't even budged from its resting place in Germany. I'll have to ask the merchant to send out a new shipment with a normal courier, and cancel this shipment.

Once I arrived at the location the agent there told me they couldn't get me my phone cause it was with the customs agent still and woulnd't be released until Monday. I looked Monday morning to see if the package was released, instead i noticed a update saying that package was in Boston and not in calgary canada, even though on Friday it was scanned saying it was in Calgary... When i called DHL to ask where the package was, they told me they will need 2-3 days to figure out if the package is in calgary or in boston.... and then the agent hung up.

well after paying 16 GBP for delivery once the package arrived to my country the company called and asked me to pay additional 25 GBP for "additional custom release service " the customs bill...

DHL is the absolute WORST delivery service in existence. I would rather pay a turtle to deliver my package then use DHL! WHY IS THIS COMPANY STILL HERE?! My story is no different than the hundreds, nay thousands others. I honestly cannot understand 1, why they are still in business, 2 why anyone still uses them, 3 why they don't change and make it better? I get it. They are cheaper and they go overseas but come on, is it worth saving a dollar or two to have your customers either not get the order, or it's horribly late, or even worse, never shows up, how does this help the seller who chose to use DHL?! It doesn't, in the end it hurts both the buyer AND seller, I know because DHL has burned me as both, so much so that I refused service and refuse to use them. If I buy anything online anymore, the first thing I check is where they are located and who they use to ship, if DHL, nope.

We paid for express shipping through the nose (more than our shipment value was worth) then they deliver 1 package of the 4 packages and then they say they can't deliver our other 3 packages because of duties. We have a team of 20 custom brokers that dealt with this entire shipment a week prior. I talked to 2 of their "specialists" from DHL and they couldn't explain anything to me. or even where my other 3 boxes were. I hope this company dies! We lost over 2 million dollars because of their f%@k up!

Second time I have had a horrible experience with DHL through Dollar Shave Club. I love DSC products, they really are good and inexpensive. Because they would not offer me an alternate shipper, I cancelled my DSC membership and just order from Amazon now. I get free 2 day shipping anyway and MUCH better customer service on the extremely rare occasion there is a shipping issue.

I even sent an e-mail to the local customer service (rc.dhlfrance@dhl.com). A few days passed, nothing came. So I called again, this time I gave the new address. A few days passed again, nothing came, again. I called the customer service for the third time and being informed that the package has been returned to the shipper for some reason. The person whom I talked to however admitted that this as their mistake and he asked me to ask the shipper to resend the package WITHOUT paying twice. Yesterday I wrote in DHL's customer service link in their website, explaining the problem. Nobody called to explain. This morning, I called them again. The lady said she doesn't know anything about any calls or e-mails that I have done/sent to them. Apparently, I do need to pay again to get sent again, should I use DHL again. Anyone had a same problem in France in particular?

It is a max size and weight parcel containing all my belongings. Clothes, coats, shows, books, household items. The best i get is "contact the sender to raise a claim." I am the sender, DHL is the carrier at all stages. Its like talking to a broken computer.

I then proceed to check up on the order with amazon, who now just gives me another dateline a whole week after the initially scheduled arrival. This experience left me with an unanswered question: I wonder if amazon is just gonna keep handing me further datelines ?
My experience did teach me one thing: next time I'll save myself the trouble, and go get it in a store.

Last time I checked its a felony to forge a signature. Out $400, $2-3,000 in loss of revenue and damaged reputation, but the customers I'll loose for failing to deliver on my end. We live in an apartment complex with lockers for package delivery. Because of the lockers, packages are never, never, ever accepted in the complex office. We had two packages shipped home during a recent trip abroad, both via DHL. Tracking said both packaged were delivered to the office, and both signatures were scribbles that looked similar but nothing like a signature. (Just a couple of random loops.)

Now I'm told that if DHL ever gets around to admitting they lost/stole our packages, I have to contact the company who shipped them and they have to initiate a claim.

When I started asking the "customer service" person about how long the process would take, she got pretty defensive about how they're all human, we all make mistakes, etc.

I will NEVER voluntarily use this company.

My package was supposed to be here Friday. It was still hundreds of miles away in Ohio so I knew it wasn't going to make it. But still the Estimated delivery date insisted it would be here on May...

But still the Estimated delivery date insisted it would be here on May 24 by the end of the day. That night the delivery date changed to "The Estimated Delivery Date is currently unavailable. Please try again later." The status changed to "Arrived at Sort Facility LOS ANGELES GATEWAY - USA" at 7:45 am on Saturday. It's now Sunday and everything is the same. It's still in LA and the estimated delivery date is still unavailable. From what I've gathered it's not gonna be here today because they don't deliver on Sundays, and tomorrow is a holiday so I'm not sure if they will deliver it tomorrow. I live about and hour from LA. Why the f%@k are these assholes taking so damn long to deliver my shit. It's an expensive item and I don't want someone to come steal my package. At the very least just update the f%@king estimated delivery time. So I'm not waiting on the package like a jackass. It's not the worst situation, but I've never had anything even close to this happen to me when shipping with other companies. I understand they have thousands of packages, but I could have driven to LA and back 24 f%@king times by now to get my package.

Either the company that sent the package messed up the address or dhl did. Either way when I called to correct the address they didn't change it. Package couldn't be delivered, called again...

This is just one of many issues I've had with them, but now they have denied a claim for damaged goods because the shipper did not package them correctly. I sent the item back, and he refused it....

Twice the package was lost at the sorting centre, once there was a problem with 'reading the label', and finally the package was supposedly delivered to what turned out to be an office address where no one had a clue what i was talking about. So every time I buy something and the sender ships thru DHL I have to wait until they say they have tried to deliver it but couldn't find me, and then I should go to the DHL agency in Valencia to get my package. Then I have to contact them and tell them my door number and ask for a retry. Also, they text you telling they'll make the delivery in a specific date, then they dont. They think you are the one supposed to be waiting for them the whole day.

Hi, thank you for confirming the address. I do not know why the driver is stating it is incorrect. I have messaged the depot for further information, and also provided them with a map. I have arranged delivery for tomorrow, before 10:30 am. I do apologise for the delay. Thanks, Helen

There is no delivery and nobody replies to my messages from now so I resort to calling the depot where after initially being called a liar a manager assures me the address is indeed wrong but he will personally arrange delivery for the next day.

The parcel is finally delivered five days after it was supposed to be with a very embarrassed delivery man apologising and unsure why it was not delivered as it actually has the correct address on it to begin with.

From August through to January still nobody replies to my messages or phone calls so I start anew as DHL have now taken over officially at this stage and my initial complaints have been ignored for many months.

Good morning, this is a continuation of a complaint from back in August as nobody seems to want to be decent and reply.

The parcel was due for delivery on Friday 24th August and so I booked the day off, after waiting in all day and no parcel arriving I checked the status at around 3pm and saw that it had been returned to the depot as undeliverable due to postcode error, my postcode being RG14 7UE and the postcode error being RG14 7UN.

I rang in and disputed that there would be an error as the sender has been sending me parcels from Germany for three years and would not make this mistake, the member of staff I spoke to was rude and denigrating, sarcastic and dismissive telling me that my sender had got the address details incorrect and that they had had to relabel the delivery to arrange the delivery and he would rearrange the parcel for delivery for Saturday 25th August.

Again after waiting in all day I rang in again at roughly 13.00 and was this time told that they would never arrange a next day delivery and that I was mistaken and the system only showed a rearranged delivery for Tuesday 28th August, after pointing out that I had taken screenshots of the arranged Saturday delivery and insisting on speaking to senior management I was put through.

This time a very apologetic man told me that for some reason the parcel had not even been loaded onto a delivery lorry/van and was indeed still sat in the warehouse untouched, but that he himself would now personally take charge make sure it had been relabeled and arrange for its delivery, he then called me back and told he had rearranged delivery guaranteed for Tuesday 28th August.

By now I had spent almost four hours across the two days just on the phone, not even counting the time waiting for my delivery and now because of a bank holiday I would have to wait another three days.

On Tuesday I again waited in all day for my delivery and noticed once more that the website was not updating at all for my parcel, I tried numerous times to get through to a phone operative and nobody was answering the phone, I tried calling the number the senior member had given me and it would just ring until it rang off, I tried contacting the social media team on Facebook and then finally I found a direct number for the Thatcham depot.

Where the gentleman I spoke to confirmed that yes once again my parcel was sat in the depot untouched and had not been loaded for delivery and that the only thing he could offer was next day delivery, by now I was understandably very cross and he provided me with a customer services line that did not have the automated calling system that nobody ever answered.

I rang the new number provided to me and managed to again ask for a senior member of management, this time the gentleman I spoke to assured me that the astonishingly bad service was unlike UK Mail and he would call the depot and arrange for it to be delivered to me on the day (Tuesday 28th August) he would make sure it was labeled correctly and called me back within an hour to confirm delivery but had no time slot as this would be a special delivery.

However when I checked back at roughly 1pm on the website I saw delivery now scheduled for today (Wednesday 29th August) and immediately called back in to speak to somebody once again, roughly ten minutes into this phone call I received a buzz from downstairs telling me that I had a delivery, I let the gentleman in and he brought the parcel upstairs to my flat and explained that he had been sent specially to deliver just this parcel, but he also expressed confusion as to why it had not been delivered in the first place as the postcode was CORRECT, the parcel had not been relabled and had not needed to be and he would speak to somebody when he got back to the depot, I explained all of this to the gentleman on the phone and asked for a senior member of mangement to call me back.

Nobody called me back.

So to recap, my original delivery on Friday was delayed because a driver lied about the postcode, nobody checked when I rang in and all continued the lie telling me the parcel had been relabled and it was my senders fault, and they were basically doing me a favour by rearranging delivery.

I had to waste three days waiting for a delivery (Five if you count the lost weeked B/H) that should have been made on the Friday (24th August)

The attached picture show the parcel with the correct address on it and a hold label needlessly applied.

What is even more insulting is the alleged wrong postcode RG14 7UN which is nowhere on the parcel is actually less than one minute walk from my actual address, but it was deemed acceptable to return it to Thatcham rather than expect the driver to actually try reading the parcel address.

At no point of time during those first two days did any member of staff at UK Mail accept how unacceptable this has been or even take responsibility for what had gone wrong, instead the blame was laid firmly at my sender for providing an incorrect address, which of course turned out to be the correct address.

I am seeking compensation equal to the three days I lost waiting for a parcel that should have been delivered, now I know due to UK law that technically I cannot claim for the first day, but this entire farce has been perpetrated and continued solely due to incompetence or deliberate malfeasance of UK Mail staff, attacking a customer without the full knowledge of the situation is both irresponsible and dangerous.


Hi, I have taken a look at the details of this shipment and can see the address featuring the RG14 7UN postcode was originally on this. I can only assume that the label was removed when the address was changed. Regarding the three days wait and calls you made over the period I can confirm that this is not the service we look to offer. I can see that we have already confirmed that we would not be able to offer you compensation for this. Hello Anthony, as mentioned previously the original address label is still on it, with the original details still on it, there never was a RG14 7UN the parcel, this is what is known in most circles as lying to the customer and then when caught in the lie, continuing to stick to that lie even when all the evidence says otherwise. I provided photgraphic proof of the correct address with a label stuck ON TOP that said HOLD and then the same postcode that is WRITTEN on the label was written in marker pen, forget common decency as there has been none of that, how about just admitting that your company has lied to me and continues to do so regardless of the facts
PS, I have kept the box, because funnily enough I am sick of being lied too, and have zero intention of letting this simply drop.

Hello Shane, I completely appreciate your frustration, however, I have checked all the details into this and can see that the goods were address incorrectly on our system, please see the below from our internal system -

24/08/2018 16:43 Recipient Specified Delivery changes... Address Changed from: address removed RG14 7UN, the address was corrected on the 24th and rescheduled for delivery the next working day.

Due to the address being incorrect, the driver requested a map to ensure he delivered this to the correct address which is why the parcel was further held. Thanks, Jade

Hello Jade, the address was only ever incorrect on your system, the parcel was always correctly labeled, it astounds me that even with photograpic proof and the poor guy who eventually delivered it telling me he could not understand what went wrong as the address was correct, nobody wants to accept they got it wrong, constantly passing the blame back to the sender, despite the sender getting it right!

DHL then decides to completely ignore this message and I chase it up again a month or so later and repost my original message.

Hello Tracey, this is not about compensation for economic loss, this is about being blatantly lied too continually causing the delay, the terms and conditions are for circumstances outside of control, lying continuously is not out of your control, its a choice. And absolutely amazing how you deliberately failed to reply continuously to fall outside of the time period, I have proof of continued attempts to get your company to act honourably and reply with some kind of dignity, including but not limited to, sending a message to your executive team as I was told too and this also being ignored

They're 3 days late already for the first delivery attempt and they don't even bother turning up. Utter rubbish. I'm going to cancel the order, making DHL flying parcels back and forth and merchants charging and refunding is probably the only way to punish these twats, via the merchants.

So, I have a feeling that the DHL depot in Calgary will play games with you if there is GST owing on a package and haven't payed the GST in advance. They will lie and say things like "No one was home" or "There's no address on the package" or any other kind of excuse in order to force you to pay the GST in advance rather than at the door. They said "No one was home" the first time which was a total lie. They said "It's missing the address" the second time, again a total lie, the ADDRESS WAS ON THE PACKAGE IN 3 DIFFERENT f%@kING PLACES. I don't know if this is just the shady Calgary operation or if this is going on everywhere. I'VE NEVER BEEN SO f%@kING PISSED OFF AT A COMPANY BEFORE... f%@k YOU DHL CALGARY!

Here in the Netherlands, DHL is the worst courier in my experience. I buy many things online and almost every single one of them is being delivered on time except for those shipped using DHL. I mean every courier service here, GLS, DPD, TNT, USPS, and ... is way better than DHL. I don't understand why any company still uses DHL for shipping.

I sent my personal laptop from Bangkok to my friend to Moscow via DHL. At first, I thought everything's okay. They charged me ~6,500 bat which is quite costy, but well, I didn't have another choice, my friend needed a laptop. When my friend called me and told me they want 420 000 rubles for import I was shocked! I called the Russian customer support to find out why they want my friend to pay though I paid to sent the package. They said it's because the value of the laptop in 15 000 USD. WHAT?! Why did you set this sum? It's an old used laptop! And why didn't they told me that the receiver must pay too? So my friend refused to receive the package and it was sent back to Bangkok. I learnt that it is in Bangkok only when I called DHL 2 weeks later (what the hell, DHL?!), they didn't call me. So I called them to find out what I need to receive it back. They told me I need a broker to confirm the clearance. We chat a lot and finally, they appointed me to come to Thai Customs in Bangkok to sign papers and bring the copies of my passport. I did it. They told it would take 2-3 working days to release the package and I will get it. But actually, they called me only a week later and said that I'll receive the laptop next Tuesday (in 3 working days). Yesterday I got another call and I was told I need to pay for import 34 720 bat. WHAT THE HELL?! Import, really? It's my personal laptop! Why import? Today they delivered it to me, but I refused to pay that huge sum of money. My laptop itself costs twice less! So I still didn't get my package. I'm frustrated and disappointed by DHL. Never use this company.

Never would have known it had the person not taken the time to drive the package to my house and deliver it. Second time, the driver literally drove beside my driveway and up my lawn, tearing up the lawn. My driveway was perfectly clear. Not sure what that was about. Third time delivery went as expected. Fourth time, delivery man never bothered knocking. Just left a slip on my door. I was home all day. I went online to authorize leaving the package the next day since I would not be home. I also left the signed slip for good measure. Package was not left, but another slip was left. Signed that one and next day package was left, but in the elements. I have a covered front porch and a carport. It takes effort to not leave it in a covered location at my house. Fifth time, package was sent to the wrong facility. Tracking kept saying delivered by the end of the day. Several days later I am still waiting and nobody can tell me anything other than it is scheduled for delivery. Well no duh. Glad I paid for expedited delivery and the package was sent to the wrong facility, and nobody knows where it is other than to say it's scheduled for delivery. How is this company still in business? No excuse to screw up 4 out of 5 times. UPS, FedEx, and USPS have delivered hundreds of times without a single screw up.

On Thursday I get a notification that the delivery will be made today.

No delivery. Tracking system says: "The customer has agreed on a different delivery time". I haven't agreed on anything.

On Friday I call them and they say they'll try again today.

No delivery. Tracking system says: "Item stored at the service point."

I call them Monday to find out what the f%@k this is about. The customer service says they have had a hard time finding my address. I tell them Google Maps points directly at my exact location when you type in my address, and there's my name in the doorbell at the door. They say they will try again. I say I need this package for my work, and it better arrive next they, and I make them promise they will call me if they can't find the address.

No delivery on Tuesday or Wednesday either. Tracking system says: "Package delivered". I call the customer service. They say that they changed the tracking number????? WTF??? Then they go on and say that they had attempted delivery today at 11:42. I say I have been home the entire day and FORCE them to call the Driver. They get back to me. Driver had said he'd been knocking on at my door, for the third time, with no answer.

I say: Either your driver is lying or you have the wrong door because I've been home for THREE DAYS waiting for this f%@king package, and I haven't heard any knock. It's a studio f%@king apartment. I would hear it.

Guess what this person says? She has to trust the driver on this one. If he says he's been there, he has. I say: It is your job to find out where the problem is. She says she can't help me.

WTF? It's your literal ONLY job to help me receive my package. I ask her, what is she going to do to make sure that I get the package. She says she will get back to me after talking to the Driver. Of course she doesn't.

So it's Friday again, and I call the customer service. A person answers and says they will deliver today. She promises to make sure the Driver calls if he can't find the address. Well that sounds too wonderful to be true. I think I might just still put a f%@king camp up outside in the cold rain to wait for these idiots to deliver the package.

Man, where shall I start? I moved to central Frankfurt (in Germany!), and ordered some stuff from Amazon. Amazon tends to use DHL to send stuff and that's when the nightmare started. First DHL is always super delayed! They never deliver stuff on time and second, if they never deliver package to your apartment, doesn't matter if you are home or not. They buzz once, and then the it goes straight to the next collecting point which is like 5km away - even if the package weights 20kg. They will never call you or let you know prior the delivery, so you will never know if you should stay at home to wait for them. Third, the website is supposed to allow the driver to leave the package somewhere you designate - forget about it, it just doesn't work.

They can put a package on hold for three main reasons: a) weather. if it's not 70 degrees sunny their truck won't go. What ever address you leave, all other shipping companies can find it but DHL. They put your door number where the state is supposed to be. c) the carrier doesn't feel like. When you contact DHL through email you get this bs pre-written copy and paste response. Ultimately they tell you to contact the seller if you haven’t recieved your package yet. Tracking info is always stuck on 'electronic notification received' for days before the package moves anywhere. This latest order should have been probably five business days max. It has now been 10 days total, eight business days. The package has been somewhere within 10 miles of my location for two days.

A few years ago I had ordered something and was expecting it on a certain day. The tracking said 'out for delivery' so I sat out in the living room with a book, reading, and waited. I was 10 feet from the door. I heard a large truck outside which turned out to be UPS delivering to my next door neighbor. I waited for around three hours when I heard a large truck approaching again. I stood up and looked out the front window and saw a DHL truck drive by. I thought to myself, "Oh that must not have been the one I was waiting for." I refreshed the tracking on my phone and wouldn't you know it, it said they 'attempted to deliver' the package but got no answer at the door. I ended up getting it the next day but not after I gave them an earful over the phone.

This is my second time that DHL handled the delivery of my orders and I always have to reschedule the delivery. They don't give updates when it's already on transit or already at your home for delivery. The only update that I got from them is a text message stating that "they tried to deliver the package but no one was home".

I was home between the time of delivery and didn't hear any ring on my bell or receive any updates.

It is frustrating that I have to call DHL to ask for redelivery. They just stated that the delivery person has more than 200 packages to deliver and they don't get paid to wait for the receiver to pick it up.


I woke up early and cancel all of my morning appointment to wait for my package to arrive and I have to do it again the next day because they failed to deliver my package. I feel like I wasted my time waiting for nothing.

We called nearly every day and got the same response, "the driver is in your area, they will be there yet today." On one day, we were told the driver had attempted to pick up the package but it wasn't available. We had been present all day, and we have a video doorbell to prove no DHL driver ever came to the door.
We heard "I'm very sorry" every time we called, but not one offer of a refund or even a small discount.

Tracking is mostly useless and stay stuck at some point and no longer updates.
Support is useless and clueless.
5 out of 6 times they won't deliver on the (late) day they state, but 1 or 2 days later arguing you were not home. But I work remotely and I'm always at home during business days. They just don't bother and lie, plain and simple.
Rescheduling a delivery is hell, more than once I prefered to drive close to 100km to pick it up because after wednesday the next schedule they are likely to propose is the week after. And not on a monday, for whatever stupid reason never before a tuesday.
DHL should close its doors and let the real transporters do their job. Online stores should stop using DHL.

After I emailed the customer service manager (you have to research to find this), a representative called and told me it was due to customs. I don't know for a fact, but since the updates are generated by DHL, how would they know what customs is doing with my envelope? The envelope contains my vehicle title which I must have before I can leave Guatemala (dumb) and have surgery next week in Mexico. This isn't a game.

Even when the driver has blatantly lied for the second time this week, when will business learn to stop using them, they still deny any wrongdoing, I live in a secure university 'village' on campus and everything is on CCTV, and can prove no one came on campus in the time frame they alleged or in the hour around that time from or all day in the vehicle they use. And now despite paying for next day they're not going to attempt to redeliver until Tuesday - 5 days away - 3 if you remove the weekend.

They were useless when they were the courier for the company I worked for; our logistics manager was seduced by their competitive pricing but if we'd spoken to any of the other companies on our site we'd have heard their own horror stories and avoided them.

Their own drivers who turned up for delivery and collection had nothing good to say about them either, and were constantly moving on to other employers; the result being we never had a consistent relationship with the people we were working with on the ground floor. Customer service were useless, never had a clue what was going on and never in a position to help us. My company was a supplier of medical equipment, this was made clear to their sales rep before we signed on with them, as often the equipment supplied is time-sensitive, either because of perishable components or more importantly because there is a patient's life on the line.

Of the latter, on the two occasions this was the case and they had guaranteed a prompt delivery prior to collection, they failed in their duty and shrugged off our complaints and said that they would raise a ticket with our regional DHL representative. No idea if they did because we never saw this rep until contract renewal came up. As for the patient, one of our secretaries had to drive the component over in person to the hospital for us.

The last straw was after a year of dreadful service they hiked their prices way beyond whatever we were paid after years of loyal service with previous couriers, which they quickly dropped again when they saw that we weren't going to be doing business with them ever again. I still feel sorry for their drivers who were constantly getting messed around and having to bear the brunt of complaints from customers, when they couldn't do anything about it and it was rarely their fault anyway.

All of the above was about a year ago now, the memories resurfaced just this morning as I tried to make a duties payment for a personal package that the person I'd bought from had sent, unfortunately, through DHL.

The website is still rubbish, it still takes ages to respond and sometimes just drops completely. If you're brave enough you can try talking to someone via the online chat, although that rarely works but if you are lucky(?) enough to get through you'll more than likely be given the helpful advice to 'keep trying' to use their website, and a pathetic apology as there is (surprisingly) 'nothing they can do at their end'.

Vent over. I wish my company had seen this website sooner, I've not seen another one like it for any other courier. That speaks volumes.

Because they couldn't identify my name on the letterbox of the residence they took the parcel and sent it back to Australia (after ignoring my pleas for it to be rerouted to me while it was still in transit awaiting its return trip). I wish I could package DHL up in a cute little box and put it on an eternal return-to-sender/resend "hell loop". Happy 2019 everyone!

He promises to deliver next day. Next day nothing. I call DHL and they tell me that a woman couldn't find my address. Apparently the first guy lied about delivering it the next day and passed on none of the directions to another female driver. I spend 30 minutes on phone providing detailed directions (again). Next day nothing. Another 20 minutes on phone providing directions (again-again) to be told that best they could do was Monday. They don't work weekends. I told them they apparently don't work weekdays either and pleaded for them to hand off the package to UPS/USPS for delivery. While on phone with customer non-service I get another call from a DHL investigator assigned who says due to weather, my package is delayed. This is a bald face lie because it was already on a truck 2 days ago with an incompetent driver who got lost and then the next day same with a different driver. Monday will be wash-rinse-repeat with clown show called DHL.

I cannot believe what a piece of shit company dhl is. I purchased an item on Dec. 11th. On Dec 15th I checked tracking nimber and showed that bit was at Hong Kong facility. Says delivery date would be Dec 18th . On Dec. 16th it made it to Cincinnati OH. And I'm Dec 17th for to dhl main office in Denver co. At this point I thought by some miracle this was a simple and smooth done deal. But then the DHL typical shitshow started. An hour later they send an update saying it was forwarded for delivery. On Dec. 18th which it was supposed not be delivered I called and one of there wonderful dipshit customer service rep's said it was forwarded to USPS for delivery and gave me the tracking#. I have used dhl a few times in the last 2 month's and every time she has delivered to my door. Anyway, I then check USPS tracking to see what's going on and all it says is shipping label created and the package is. On it's way to usps. Its a Priority express 1 day shipping. Ok so that's a little ridiculous being that I paid for dhl to deliver my package not usps. But it's near Christmas and they probably have a ton of packages so it's whatever. Then comes Dec 19th and no package comes. I check tracking and says same thing. Shipping label created. I call customer service to find out where my package is so I can just go get it and they tell me it's been handed over amd to call usps. Then call those ding dongs, sir on hold for 2 hours and 12 minutes. Finallynsomeone answers and as I start to talk they hang up. WTF. So call back and get put on hold for 1 your and 48 minutes. All that and they tell me I need to call dhl because they have not handed it over yet. I call back dhl and explain this and they completely ignore what I'm telling them and tell me to call usps because they handed it over. I ended up calling dhl back 3 or 4 times to get a hold of someone from dhl that is not a complete f%@k head. Didn't work out. I get a hold of a "richard" and he tells me the package is at the Denver office and I can pick it up there. So I drive 1 hour and 30 minutes away to pick up my package. An when I get there what do u know. The idiots tell me that they don't have it and it's been forwarded to USPS. By this point I'm ready to grab the notch behind the counter by her hair and smash her face into the counter. Rude ads mother f%@kers would not listen when I explain that it has not been handed over. So then I go home pissed off. Call a couple more times and each time the idiot rep attempts to pull some bullshit reason out of there was. One told me that usps has it but there just super busy so its probably justvhasnt got to it yet. That would be true except it's express priority shipping and does not go through that process. Then another person told me well it's probably lost so file a claim in 30 days if nothing changes. Thenbthe next ducked says its at the Denver office and is available for pick up tommorow. I call the next day and not course get same shit. Finally I make a big and deal about it in Dec 21st after calling 58 times in 3 days. Getting a hold of supervisors and then there superiors. After doing that about 1 and a half hours later usps distribution center physically called me and said that the literally just came and dropped this package off. the package that was sitting at the Denver office this whole time. So ok finally getting somewhere. Its priority express and should be here Tommorow. Check the usps tracking and says delivery date is the 24th. Like what the f%@k. So I go down the post office to find put where I have to go and who's dick my gf's gotta suck to get my damn package. They did some "investigating and even though it was priority express 1 day it somehow got mixed up with regular mail. So ok can I just intercept the package since both if you shit stuck companies f%@ked up.. Then they continueblooking it up and what do you know. DHL has yet again f%@ked me. Those f%@king idiots put the wrong zip code from what it was going through them. Instead of 80214. The put 80114. So it went to another f%@king town which this addreas does not exist in that zip code so what did they do. f%@king sent my god Damn package back as of now it's yet again f%@king lost in limbo land. I give up. Tommorow I am going to use dhl to ship a bunch of packages. I am going to take a big nasty diarria shit into 8 separate boxes and intentionally tape then up in a way so that they for sure breaks open. Then will be dropping them off at the denver office dhl. Last time I was unfortunate to be a recipient of goods via DHL they didn't turn up, despite someone being at home all day waiting for them. Web-tracking said a card had been left, but we didn't receive one (obviously, as they didn't turn up!). No response from online form query, they eventually just pitched up two days later.

So, having found out that a parcel I'd ordered for Christmas was via DHL I opted to have it delivered to an approved Collection Point nearby, rather than home. I thought this would make it easier for them and have a greater chance of it arriving. Web-tracking says delivery was refused (!) two days ago, but no worries because delivery is scheduled for........yesterday. Of course, it's not there and I now have no idea what's happening as web-tracking hasn't been updated for two days.

Lesson learned. From now on, if any seller I intend to buy from informs me they use DHL I shall cancel the purchase. Life's too short to put up with this crap.

At the 10 day mark the package's location from the online tracking was still unknown (even though the seller said he gave it to them) and then I get an update next day saying it was at some DHL processing center. Nothing being updated now last night (4 days later) it was in California for some reason even though the package originally said it was in North Carolina (I am in f%@king Nashville so the original date is now way past what it was supposed to be, the second delivery date is now also been changed to be 5 days later. The reason this sucks is that I won't be home now for when the package is expected to arrive because they kept pushing the date back and I will now be in another state.

He said it was delivered here on accident. I said the package is what I ordered and my names on it. he asked to see the package. so I went and grabbed the packaging it came in and showed him. He was looking at it and confusion and I said do you want to see my ID? He said yeah please. so I grabbed it and showed him that it was me. then he's like okay I need to go talk to my supervisor. I'm like okay do what you got to do but it's what I ordered and paid for. A couple minutes later a different DHL guy comes up to my door and said the same thing as the last guy. There was a package delivered here yesterday? I was starting to get upset at this point. yes the package was delivered that I ordered and paid for. it has my name on it I paid for it I'm not sure what the confusion here is. I thought for once they finally got it right and then this happens. I recently ordered 8 items from many countries to build a computer, parts from China, Australia, Japan, Italy, and Germany. Mostly free shipping or cheapest way except DHL from Germany.

Everything except DHL arrived in 7 to 11 days. No DHL! Day 15 DHL tracking only shows German customs and "it will be delivered to host country". Called DHL, they said it takes 2 weeks from exiting Germany before entering Thailand, claiming this is normal. Two weeks port to part? I asked if it was shipped by sea, the said air. That's 14 days in addition to 7 full days in Germany before "it will exit Germany". Two weeks port to port? I've been shipping to/from Thailand for 20 years, two weeks usua;;y means 'lost' but not for DHL! DHL, it's normal!

Obviously DLH is purposely burning 2 weeks to max profits for my already expensive shipment. From now on I'll ask and decline DHL, except DHL express.

My wife and I were home all day waiting for the DHL package to arrive. At 3:45pm I received a text notification saying "We attempted to deliver DHL EXPRESS..."

No one rang our doorbell nor knocked at our door. We have a security camera above our front door so we can see everything including our driveway. I reviewed the security camera footage in order to try to figure out what happened. The answer was that no one came to our door or even into our driveway, therefore DHL are liars.

I called DHL to complain but got nowhere. The person I spoke to was pushy and was trying to get me to pre-pay the customs duty. I told her that the driver could collect the customs duty when they deliver the package. The pre-pay customs duty option includes a MANDATORY WAIVER OF YOUR RIGHT TO SEEK COMPENSATION FROM DHL: "By checking this box, I authorize DHL to leave my package(s) without a signature. I agree DHL will not be held liable for any loss or damage that results from leaving of the package(s) at my request". It is not possible to pay customs duty without agreeing to also allow the driver to leave your package at your door. Maybe if DHL invested more into the business of getting packages delivered rather than lying, manipulation and ass covering they might get somewhere.

It's now the start of the business day and there has been no status update on my package. Good job DHL, good job.

Complaint 2: First delivery on a Friday during the day when I am work, instead of asking when I will be in.
Complaint 3: I want to pick it up ASAP, but depot is closed on Saturday. Unbelievable.
Complaint 4: Firstly I don't want to wait several more days for a second delivery, and secondly I don't trust them to do it on the right day, let alone after 7pm. If I miss the second delivery attempt, they'll mark it as undeliverable and send it back to UK. I'm not willing to take that chance, so I must pick it up from the depot.
Complaint 5: Depot closes at 6pm Monday - Friday. Useless.
Complaint 6: I phone them up really angry about the depot opening times, and the rep cuts off the call because I swore. How about this you f%@king cow. f%@k you and your stupid company. Dumb, lazy, useless f%@king bastards.

Sent one parcel from Germany to Holland ( which takes 2 hours by car from door to door). At the Export Center for 4 days no info about my parcel was updated. So my husband called the customer Service...

So my husband called the customer Service sevral times to follow up, as this parcel is very important. Despite the indifferent attitude of the customer service Agent, we were told that they can only start an Investigation and it takes up to 3 Business days... and apparently "nothing they can do".

Today we finally saw an update on the tracking, so my husband called again to double check the estimated delivery time. Then all of a sudden, he was questioned by the customer service about his identity, and they cant reveal any Information unless the Sender herself (Me). calls. While I understand it might be their policy, this is ridiculous that after several conversation with them all of a sudden he became a suspect?

Though out the whole experience, they have never applogized for this inconvenience at all. Neither did they express their willingness to help us.

I Chose DHL thinking it is more expensive than the other couriers, so they might be more reliable and offers a better service. Apparently not the case AT ALL.

This is my last time using DHL. NEVER AGAIN!

I called customer service that same evening (Friday) and after minutes waiting to find a consultant who could speak English, he apologized and said they would contact the storage facility to arrange a new delivery on the next day (Saturday). I called DHL 1st thing in the morning and again waited for an English consultant, who then told me I had no options other than traveling 30km to their facility, or to schedule a new attempt on Monday. Now the catch: I paid 25 dollars extra for the scheduled delivery, my parcel contains medicine, and I'm off the country on Sunday – meaning I was left to travel abroad without my prescription. The worst experience with a courier I ever had. I paid extra for the service, they made a mistake sending the delivery much earlier than contracted, and how absurd is that their storage facility is open on Saturdays but they cannot arrange for the delivery to bring me the package and I would have to go there myself. Completely absurd!

"Attempted delivery but recipient not home" yeah f%@k off. I've been waiting over a month for this phone to arrive. Today, whilst having a smoke on my driveway, I got a text saying there...

Today, whilst having a smoke on my driveway, I got a text saying there had been an "attempted delivery". I didn't see a van park up near my house nor did I see a delivery person anywhere. They also left no note. I called customer support who helpfully let me know that the driver's phone was turned off. Obviously the driver clocked out at 5:31 pm and went home because they couldn't be arsed delivering my parcel. This is a common thing with DHL. Because my parcel is economy class and NOT first class, it won't be delivered until all the priority items have been ticked off. They then informed me that they had "reattempted delivery" a few hours later but the same thing happened: no van, no delivery person, and no note. Now if I ever want to see this parcel I'm gonna have to make the 2-3 hour drive to their centre in Leeds. Simply not got time for this.

BOOM, 2 days after, the Pakete has crossed half of the planet and arrived in Asia. had called the customer service over and over to check on the status, eventually it arrived after another week.

the receiver address is office, it was delivered on a Friday evening 7pm, the office was empty. so the DHL stopped to deliver but put in a Packstation without informing which Packstation and when it's ok to pick up. i had to call them over and over again. eventually the receiver got informed. he went 3 times to the appointed Packstation, the Pakete is NOT there! again had to call the customer service, and they told me there is NOTHING THEY COULD DO! until now still don't know where is the Pakete. and i could only apply for a check after 14 working day…

Honestly, The question: Why?

A danger to themselves and everyone else on the road, including the construction worker pedestrians. Is it the DHL management that is dictating to it's drivers to drive dangerously and in disregard to local law? They are not achieving their ON DEMAND delivery times in this area anyway. So why are they placing their safety and that of
everyone around them at risk?

Is this a game for the drivers to see how fast they can possibly go, or again, is it DHL CH management that is the catalyst behind their reckless piloting of these oversized vans?

VAUD SWITZERLAND. DHL "ON DEMAND" Product offers recipient to receive their package on the day and 90 minute window they submit up to 1-day prior. In actuality "ON DEMAND" is a kin to the advertisement stating: "You may already have won up to 10 top prizes!"
In three test cases of DHL CH's "ON DEMAND" product, DHL did delivery on the day requested! Congratulations DHL! However on all three deliveries, they missed the 90 minute window by at least....90 minutes.
This begs the question...why offer "ON DEMAND" when in actuality a frustrated driver shows up stating: "Not possible!" while running back to their van to retrieve a big red sticker to add to the package stating "Not possilbe!" and then racing off haphazardly.
To MEX who posted in late September...You are right. I hear you. You time is just as valuable as DHL's, where ever in the world DHL is located.
In fairness to the VAUD marketplace, FEDEX has been 5 for 5 for me in the past year. Fairness again...FEDEX doesn't have "ON DEMAND" scheduling, but does notify of morning or afternoon delivery a day prior.

Typically there are 3 - 4 yellow vans exceeding the speed limit in the left-hand lane, each about a meter apart from the others. When preparing to exit, they cut over two lanes of traffic exceedingly fast without regard for fellow drivers, without signaling, extremely close to other vehicles.

In July in Zurich, two vans parked illegally end to end, blocked an entrance to a major hotel. Traffic grid-locked in both directions of secondary road.

Despite their rapid speed on 3 occasions, they have missed drop-off times scheduled via the DHL Product - "ON Demand Delivery" by at least 90 minutes of pre-defined DHL windows of 90 minutes.

Who is responsible for the DHL delivery trucks in Vaud and Zurich? Who is responsible for the scheduling in these two areas?

It was recently reported that DHL just won a major contract for all of Switzerland. Who is concerned for the safety of these Swiss roads while DHL vans illegally travel as if they are presidential motorcades?

Put both packages for return. Done after 8 months. In the meantime, sender went bankrupt and closed in June. Tried many times to update the return address. Refused. Packages returned to original address, which is a DHL SC warehouse. Since sender left the facility in June and packages returned in August, packages should have been rejected. No, they were received by DHL SC personnel. But they refuse to reroute the packages, even after bankrupt sender asked specifically to do so. Both packages may now be lost forever. USD 500 in goods.

Get an email package to arrive by end of day Friday. (Msg copy - Estimated Delivery Date: 2018-08-24 23:59:00) Waited all day no package so log into DHL tracking to discover item on hold since 10:30 AM for technical issues!

24 hours later log on again (their system failed to email me with delivery exceptions) to see it was processed thru hub but the notation about technical issue was erased from previous log entry.

Pretty damn suspicious if you ask me. Granted the package delivery date was initially the following Monday but I rearranged my schedule to be here Friday to accept package.

Worst company I've ever had to deal with. Customer service lied to me, and when I found out about it and e-mailed them to ask what was going on they didn't respond. I let them know I was refusing delivery on my overseas order (back when the package was still on the other side of the Atlantic!) and they told me that the package would be returned to the seller - then a few weeks later they delivered the package to my house anyway. I refused delivery again on their first attempt, but on the second the delivery person just threw the package at me and got back in the car and left. In the end I had to return the package myself...although knowing DHL they probably would've f%@ked that up too.
Also:
- no real time frame given for delivery time; they messaged me at 7 AM that the package would be delivered that day until "end of day" - thanks a bunch, that's real convenient when you have stuff to do and can't sit around all day waiting for a package you don't even want
- their "On Demand" services are bullshit; I tried to change the delivery address to a pickup point when I found out they were going to deliver the package anyway, and it had no effect whatsoever
- they're great at keeping you in the dark; if you ever want to know what's going on you have to ask and even then you may not get the information you want

I called today and the customer service reps let it slip that it wasn't in my city. I get regular posts and mails. DHL packet was expected to be delivered today. My friend sends my master thesis to me (Very important as it's my 1-year work). Tracking it today it says the post has been sent back to the originator. Why?????
No name on doorbell and mailbox. Then how do I get all other mails???? Why don't just drop a postcard on the address saying collect the parcel from the closest DHL office?

Second time this is happening to me. I guess people just do not want to deliver mails on a hot sunny day. Please go to hell. I really hate you. I wasted time, money and energy.

4 months ago, I asked my elderly parent to send me private printed matter. DHL has an embedded US Customs and Border Protection officer at each location "of interest" (i.e., countries we disagree with) and the agents' job is to flag mail from people they profile as being "of interest". This is according to the DHL agent we spoke to.
My mail was supposed to go from South America to Japan. It ended up being "detained" by US customs (extraterritoriality anyone?) and then "released back to DHL".
DHL now has lost the package and is unable to respond to my queries. One hapless DHL employee in JPN by the name of Suenaga something keeps reminding me that he is not the "right person" to speak to but aside from him, no one else at DHL seems to give a fig about the lost package. Again, this saga has been going on for 4 months now with no responses from anybody at DHL.
In addition to loss of privacy, I keep wondering why the schizos at US BCP are interested in my envelope. Why did DHL subject my mail to US customs? Really, DHL sucks not only because of their customer service standards but because they are scum bags and the lowest echelons in the homo line of proto humans. So is CBP. It is below me to use foul language and let alone in a public platform such as this one but really, if I had a chance to yell at the (insert your favorite adjective) DHL CEO in German it would sound like one of those You Tube Hitler is mad videos.

Airborne went out of business in the USA in name only as they became DHL and I've complained to eBay about vendors that use DHL to supposedly deliver via the USPS as for over one week item has not moved from the DHL facility where it sits. DHL SUCKS as they will not respond to e-mails or telephone calls as item that was supposedly scheduled for delivery 5 days ago has never been released to the USPS ! So I'm waiting on eBay for a refund and blame them for allowing sellers to lie and say delivery via USPS when DHL picks up and loses item with no response !

I ordered a separate package on July 5 on iHerb and chose Fastway Couriers like I usually do, and it arrived July 11. Shipped from the same location, and very similar postage costs. And i would have been right in saying that as it is now july 2nd and I have no product. It is also unnecessarily difficult to track the packages as not all branches of their site even recognize their own tracking number. Tracking stopped april 10th ns there have been no furher updates but of course I didn’t know that until now because it was so difficult to even get the tracking information in the first place. I think they lost my package. I HATE DHL

My wife was receiving a delivery, because I had to be at work. She is around 50 and the courier was at his twenties and he managed to make her cry. Not like shed a few tears, but she was really sobbing by the end. Make no mistake, my wife has iron self-control, and you should strain your resources of rudeness and create really imaginative insults to make her cry.

All this happened because this youngster did not want to help her to get a huge fridge up to the 5th floor (even when she offered to pay for it). Then she had to go upstairs to get some tissues, while she was absent he took the fridge back and rode away. Later when we finally get hold of our long-suffering fridge (ordering delivery by another company), it was damaged, quite severely and there was also an insolent note on the box from the courier. We tried to make a complaint, but it didn't work, because obviously DHL does not give a flying f%@k about such things as customer's opinion and I'm not even talking about satisfaction with their services here.

I got a strong feeling that DHL couriers, as well as other workers, think that they can do whatever they want to their clients and not be punished for it. And overall I think it IS true.

Value of my Import was 1000 NZ $ (2x Flame retardant overalls from UK) and the Tax+ their fees which I received from their Customs brokers were the same amount to pay. What 100% surcharge?! There are certainly some decent, helpful individuals involved but there also seems to be a significant amount of institutional, systemic failure involving sub-contracting to people who don't give a damn. There is also a significant amount of theft. More than half of parcels that we send or 'receive' to or within Germany do not arrive. They just disappear. Contractors do not bother to open apartment complex courtyard doors, which would reveal to them that a dozen people live there, all with postboxes.Or maybe they just pocket the items, I don't know. I do see that we have already researched this for you and it was concluded that your shipment was delivered. We sent our driver back to the location and the person who answered the door would not return the shipment

Meaning that we misdeliverd your package tried to get it back and now I have nothing I can do and the SHIPPER needs to try to resolve. What a mess for a multi million/billion $ company you would think they could just write off the loss for taxes and resolve this matter.

Great delivery service, that will only deliver your package during week days (while I'm at work) which will not give any local pickup options, but instead the opportunity to travel (in my case 60 miles) to pick up your own package (so why pay for bloody delivery)

Every other service I'm aware of seems to do saturday delivery, or local pickup collection (most do both) so why can't DHL offer something at least comparable?

Every time I wind up getting stuck with them as the delivery company, I wind up contacting the seller telling them to cancel the order.

I needed a parcel picked up for a return. They called the day before to confirm door, number of items, etc. I gave all the information to the agent.

Today the driver calls me, he's been knocking at the wrong door, no idea the # of items for pickup, no clue of any of the details I provided over the phone. Why even pay the customer service agent, what is their purpose?!
